Square Breathing
for Stress Relief
Life seems
so full of stress! There are times when you feel like you can't
catch your breath. The tension in the back of your neck just won't
go away. Thankfully, there is a quick, easy technique to help you relax. And you can do it anywhere
!
Sit with your feet flat on the floor with
hands relaxed on your lap.
Close your eyes. (If there are people
around just relax your body and keep your eyes open.) Then do the
following:
- While slowly counting to 3 take a slow deep breath in through your
nose.
- Hold it for 3 slow counts.
- Let the breath out through your mouth for 3 slow counts.
- Hold it for 3 slow counts.
- Repeat 2-3 times.
You will be amazed at the power of this simple exercise. You'll feel
more relaxed in a matter of minutes !!
