ABOUT WOMANS-WORK.COM

THE MISSION

Womans-Work.com has been dedicated to helping women find professional flexible work jobs since 2000.  We will work to bring qualified candidates to progressive companies and will provide the tools and resources necessary to assist organizations that are working to transform the design of work within their organizations.

Our goal is to increase the menu of choices available to women.  We seek to provide opportunities for women who wish to continue work in their chosen professions while maintaining a healthy life balance between obligations to self and family.

FOUNDER

Kirsten E. Ross, MLIR, SPHR
 President

Kirsten E. Ross, MLIR, SPHR graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts dual major in Employment Relations and Socio-Economics. While pursuing this degree she became interested in the unique challenges facing professional women.  In her senior year she did a research project on the shortage of quality childcare and the disparity in options between socio-economic levels.

Kirsten also received a Masters in Labor and Industrial Relations from Michigan State University.  During the course of this study, she co-authored an article on Child and Dependent Care benefits which was published in the Journal of Public Personnel Management.

Kirsten received the distinguished designation of Senior Professional Human Resources. She has worked in the Human Resource field for almost 20 years and has continued to be an advocate for improving employee work-family balance.

She is the mother of 2 boys, Eric and Daniel.

Read Kirsten's success story:  Asking for an Alternative Work Arrangement  to learn how she asked for, and received, the opportunity to work in a part time professional Human Resource role.
